The Music Hall and Womenaid teamed up to present Umalali. Our pre-party at The Loft was followed by an amazing performance by Umalali (The Gaufina Women’s Project). Thanks to all who attended! We raised $1,100, just fabulous!

About Umalali: Descendents of shipwrecked slaves who married Carib and Arawak Indians, the Garifuna create a unique brand of music and dance blending rock, blues, funk, African, Latin and Caribbean rhythms. Umalali is the Garifuna word for ‘voice’
