Womenaid of Greater Portsmouth was founded in 2005. Our mission was simple: we wanted to help those people and families who had suffered a small financial loss which could be overwhelming to them.

We are made up of a volunteer Board of Directors and some wonderful people who volunteer to help support our organization in many different ways.

Our fundraising is centered around a few Board initiated events each year, and many, many smaller house parties which provide about 70% of our annual funding. We help in our community, we are funded by our community members and the assistance they help us provide makes our community stronger.

If you are interested in helping out in some way (host a Winter Warmup, Fall Roundup, or Summer Cooldown, add a friend's name to our database, help design postcards, or help coordinate a Board event for instance), please email our helpout email address.
