Ways to help with your time

Planning/Execution: Our events are designed to be fun, community building gatherings. We appreciate and enjoy anyone who would like to help make an event happen!

Ideas: We will have several gatherings a year and encourage ideas for the main premise or ways to draw people in. We also realize that there are many community groups in the area that have funds available and we are interested in learning more about those groups.

Host a House Party: House parties occur when someone who is moved by the work we do wants to combine having a party with helping Womenaid raise additional funds. Part of our mission is to bring people together - and we've been heartened to be a part of many gatherings where neighbors met neighbors for the first time. Click here to read of one house party.

Enlarge the network: Our fundraising is based on simple, unique get-togethers and we have started with the Board's network of community members to create our invitation list. We are interested in expanding that network and list and would welcome any names of people who might enjoy being invited to attend a gathering or donating to Womenaid of Greater Portsmouth. Our get-togethers are not only a method of raising money, but also a way to enjoy the community of our friends and if we can spread that opportunity, we welcome that chance.

We are also looking for connections to local businesses or groups that may be able to help with cash or in-kind donations.
