about us


Founded in 2005, the mission of Womenaid of Greater Portsmouth is to provide short-term financial assistance to neighbors-in-need when they have nowhere else to turn.

We are an all volunteer Board of Directors with no office and no paid staff.

Our fundraising is centered around a few Signature Events each year, and pop up events which provide about 70% of our annual funding. Your contributions stay within your community, and the assistance you provide makes our community stronger.

If you have questions, would like to host an event or volunteer for one of our Signature Events, please email our general information email address.  


If you'd like to support us financially, we accept checks sent to our P.O. address above, or you can donate securely online clicking the DONATE NOW link.

If you are a community validator and would like to request assistance for a person in need, click here to fill out our request form.
